PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substituent heat-sensitive recording material for manufacturing a dryography printing plate of a high quality which generates no waste, without requiring treatments by a method wherein a binder can be converted into an ink accepting binder just as an image by an exposure to heat or chemical rays. SOLUTION: This heat-sensitive recording material includes a supporting body, a surface layer which preferably contains a cured ink non-adhesive binder on the top of the supporting body, and a compound which can convert light into heat, and the binder can be converted into an ink accepting binder by an exposure to heat or a chemical ray. Then, in order to obtain a lithographic printing plate, this heat-sensitive element is heated in accordance with an image, or when a compound which can be converted into heat is contained, the heat- sensitive element is exposed to a chemical ray, and then, it is used as a printing plate without developing it further. Then, by the exposure along the image to heat or a chemical ray, the surface of the ink non-adhesive layer is modified, and the exposed region become ink-acceptable. |
