COPYING DEVICE CAPABLE OF SELECTING QUALITY AND GLOSS OF IMAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a copying device capable of selecting the quality and the gloss of an image by selecting and actuating a developing unit so that a receiver member may be coated with transparent marking particles in accordance with the desirable quality and the desirable gloss of the image fused on the receiver member. SOLUTION: The receiver member is fed from supply hoppers S1 and S2 to a nip 30 and receives the image of the marking particles. The receiver member leaves the nip 30 and is carried to a fuser assembly 60 by a transportation device 40, and the image of the marking particles is fixed on the receiver member by heating and/or pressuring. The assembly 60 includes a 1st fusing device 60a of a type providing image copying with low gloss for the receiver member and a substantially independent 2nd fusing device 60b of a type providing the image copying with high gloss for the receiver member. Thus, the assembly 60 selects the quality and the gloss of the image.
