The invention relates to a sun-collector comprising a focusing optical unit (2) and a heat utilizing absorber (3) arranged in the focal axis. The focusing optical unit (2) is formed - at least in part - as collecting lens. Essence of the invention is that the collecting lenses are shaped as solid, mainly round bar-like cylindrical lens (4), furthermore the absorber (3) has cylindrical lens-associated heat transferring surface section (5), each point of which is spaced at focal distance (f) from the longitudinal centreline (6) of the cylindrical lens (4).
