PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for assembling when a knock member is placed on the inside of a relatively long back barrel. SOLUTION: A back end knocking type writing tool wherein a knock member 24 is arranged under projected condition from the back end of a cylindrical body and a writing body is arranged in front of the knock member 24 is provided and a small diameter part 21 is formed on the inner wall face of the above described cylindrical body and at least one through-channel is formed in the small diameter part 21 and a projection passing through the through- channel is formed in the knock member 24.
