PURPOSE:To improve an electrooptical constant by keeping a composition of burned article in a ratio of La to specific Pb and La and Zr to specific T and Zr. CONSTITUTION:Each oxide powder of PbO, La2O3, ZrO2 and TiO2 is blended using a ball mill, etc., so as to be 7.75-8.5mol% in a ratio of La to Pb and La and 67.5-72.5mol% in Zr to Ti and Zr. The blend powder is calcined and further pulverized with a ball mill and dried to provide a PLZT raw material powder. The raw material powder is blended with a binder and formed into a formed article by monoaxial pressure forming, etc., and the formed article is sintered at 1100-1250 deg.C in 50-300kg/cm<2> pressure and O2 atmosphere to provide the PLZT for electrooptical material. |
