PURPOSE:To accelerate the close adhesion of sheets by superposing sheets one upon another at the time of the close adhesion of the sheets in heat mode laser type thermal transfer and irradiating the sheets with laser beam while bringing them to a close contact state under vacuum by a suction pump. CONSTITUTION:For example, an ink sheet 2 and an image receiving sheet 1 are wound aroud a drum 4 in such a state that the ink layer of the ink sheet 2 is opposed to the image receiving layer of the image receiving sheet 1 and the drum 4 is evacuated through a vaccum port 3 to closely bond both sheets 2, 1 under vacuum. In this state, both sheets are exposed to semiconductive laser to form a transfer image. A thermoplastic or elastic layer deformable by heat is formed to this sheet. That is, a hot-melt ink layer is laminated to a support and a cushion imparting low elastic material such as natural rubber is interposed between the ink layer and the support. Further, a photothermal conversion material is added to the hot-melt ink layer. A photothermal conversion layer containing said photothermal conversion material may be provided in contact with the ink layer. |
