PURPOSE:To prevent forgery by calculating the number of dotted lines in an area judged as a dot area and judging an input image as a special original such as a paper money or a security when this number of clotted lines is not fixed. CONSTITUTION:A special original judge unit 104 is composed of a dot area judge part 105 to divide input image data into areas for the unit of nXm picture elements and to decide whether the respective areas are clot image areas or not, clotted line number calculation part 106 to calculate the number of clotted lines in the area decided as the dot area, and judge part 107 to output a special original signal (a) and a non-special original signal (b) showing whether the input image data are the special original or not based on this calculated result. Thus, the input image data read by a scanner unit 101 are copied to recording paper by a printer unit 103 after performing processing such as shading correction, gamma correction and gradation by using an image processing unit 102. At the same time, the data read by the unit 101 are sent to the judge unit 104, and it is decides whether the data are any special originals or not. |
