PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the method for eliminating the density fluctuation of a three- dimensional lookup table for chrominance signal conversion of an image output device by which stationary density fluctuation caused by the image output device (image recorder or development processor) can be eliminated and preparation accuracy can by improved and to provide the image output device without generating density irregularities caused by the stationary fluctuation. SOLUTION: By this image output device 10. a first color chart P2 having the plural color patches of combination changed in the output values of respective three colors and a second color chart P3 having the images of an entirely uniform output value are outputted, densities of the plural color patches and uniform output value images are measured and a density fluctuation value is obtained from the measured value of the uniform output value images. The density fluctuation peculiar to the image output device included in the plural color patches is eliminated based on the density fluctuation value, the density fluctuation of the three-dimensional lookup table prepared from the plural color patches is eliminated and thus, the problem is solved.
