At least one heat exchanger (24,26) is fitted between the compressor (16) and the gas turbine (18) for adjustment of the temperature of the compressed air flowing from the compressor to the gas turbine. The heat exchanger is of the air-to-air type. At least one heat exchanger has compressed air and ambient air flowing through it. In the at least one heat exchanger, the compressor air transmits the heat energy fed with the compression work to the ambient air. The at least one heat exchanger is formed as a tube-bundle-type unit, in which the straight tubes have compressed air flowing through them. It has ambient air flowing through in counter-flow.
