The output valve is fitted on top of a spray can (1). A pipe (2) which carries the material to be sprayed emerges vertically from the top of the can and enters a valve body (3) which has a sealing device (4) on the bottom of its preferably cylindrical body (5) the body has a wide bore vertical bore accommodating the pipe and inwards facing sealing lips (12) on the sealing device. A smaller vertical bore (7) continues on from the wide bore and is concentric with it. It joins a horizontal bore (6) which ends in a nipple (10) which may hold the end of a flexible hose.
