PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the power consumption of an air conditioner so that the increase of a contract electric power to cope with a peak in summer, for example, is not necessitated. SOLUTION: A sequencer 4 is provided between a demand controller 1 and a plurality of air conditioners 3, whose loads are controlled by the controller 1. Relays (r1)-(r10) are attached to the plurality of air conditioners 3 so that the compressors CR1-CR10 of respective air conditioners 3 can be controlled by the sequencer 4. In this case, the sequencer 4 puts a predetermined number of output relays RL1-RL10 OFF sequentially to stop the air conditioners 3 and operates the remaining compressors whereby an average power is reduced and a contract power is not required to be increased. |
