<p>The invention concerns a device for securely adjusting the headrest, in particular of a motor vehicle seat, said headrest comprising at least a spindle (2) engaged inside a sleeve (1) integral with the structure of said seat, device comprising a U-shaped spring (5) with the ends of its branches fixed to said sleeve, and its branches extending generally downwards towards the spindle axis, and its central part (6) arranged for being engaged into a notch (7) of the spindle. The invention is characterised in that it comprises a releasing member (8) comprising a cam surface (14) co-operating with said central part of the U-shaped spring, control means (9; 17) accessible from outside the seat and connected to said releasing member for actuating it, said cam surface being arranged for pushing back said central part out of the notch, against the resilient action of the spring brackets, when the releasing member is actuated by the control means.</p> |
