PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate for improving defects of both substrate because in a liquid crystal display device using a glass substrate, the glass substrate is brittle and in a liquid crystal display device using a plastic substrate, heat resistance, the translucency of impure ions to liquid crystal and the adhesive strength of films are poor and a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal display device has a first substrate 1 made of metallic substrate and, moreover, an insulating film 2 made of the anodically oxidized film of the metallic substrate on the metallic substrate 1 and switching elements 11 to be connected to at least one side of signal electrodes 3 or data electrodes on the insulating film 2 and which have structure to be connected to display electrodes 9 and in this device, the metallic substrate is made to be the reflection plate of display electrodes. |
