PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely decide the mechanism part of an accessor for carrying a recording medium in a library device. SOLUTION: The control unit of a library device 31 scans a reference position and each stop position by driving a picker section 3 both in upper and lower directions. An average value among data regarding two positions detected by the scanning from both directions is used as control position data. The control unit measures all the strokes of a hand section attached in the picker part 3 and corrects the positional data of the stop position of the hand section based a ratio between an obtained actual measured value and a designing value.
