In an arrangement to dampen esp. automotive crankshaft oscillations, a hub is fixed to the crankshaft end with a flywheel and pulley wheel (7). The pulley wheel (7) is linked to the hub by a rubber disc coupling (6). The fly wheel (3) is located in a ring-shaped housing (2) parallel to the rubber disc coupling (6). The housing (2) is fixed to the hub and is filled with a viscous or visco-elastic fluid.
