The printed circuit board has a rigid or flexible dielectric substrate (1) provided with applied conductor paths (2) and/or terminal pads (3), via a metallic coating extending over at least one hole in the circuit board substrate. The area of the coating extending across the hole is weakened, to allow insertion of a printed circuit board component terminal pin (5). The coating may be weakened over the hole by provision of a number of radial slits, allowing the coating to be pressed back against the walls of the hole upon insertion of the terminal pin.
