Protective clothing has folded gas pockets

A protective outfit has folded gas pockets which are activated with a gas cartridge activated by means of a tear or connecting cord between a device and a person, e.g. a motor cycle and the rider. The clothing features little padding in the normal condition and is only filled with gas in the event of a crash. The cord is torn off after activation of the cartridge and the pockets are folded in a way that minimises their volume. The clothing stabilises the body when filled with gas.
