PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce fog and to enhance photographic performance and to prevent deterioration of photographic performance and image quality during storage by incorporating a nonphotosensitive organic silver salt and its reducing agent and a binder in the image recording mateal and plural specified compounds in one of the constituent layers. SOLUTION: This image recording material contains the nonphoto-sensitive organic silver salt and its reducing agent and the binder on a support and at least one of the constituent layers at least each one of the commands represented by formula I and formula II, and in formula I, each of W1 -W4 is an H atom or a univalent substituent and at least one of them is a univalent substituent, and in formula II, Q is an alkyl or aryl or heterocyclic group; each of X1 and X2 is a halogen atom: Z is an H atom or an electron withdrawing group; Y is a -CO- or -SO- or -SO2 - group; and (n) is 0 or 1, thus permitting the obtained image recording mateal to be good in image storage stability. |
