PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a clear recording image with excellent releasability from a thermal transfer sheet by a dye receptive layer of a thermal transfer recording image receiving element. SOLUTION: A dye receptive layer is formed of resin composition containing non-yellowing urethane resin or resin composition containing urethane resin and vinyl polymer. The resin composition may contain urethane resin and polymer dispersed in particulate state in the urethane resin. The composition may be polymer aqueous emulsion containing polymer particles having a core-shell structure or microdomain structure constituted by urethane resin and vinyl polymer.
