PHOTOCATALYTIC OXIDE COMPOSITION, THIN FILM, AND COMPOSITE

A composition comprising photocatalytic oxide particles, a solvent-soluble zirconium compound, and a solvent. Preferably the photocatalytic oxide is titanium oxide with an average particle diameter ranging from 0.005 to 0.3 mu m and the zirconium compound is added in an amount ranging from 3 to 200 parts by weight is terms of ZrO2 to 100 parts by weight of the oxide particles. A composite composed of a photocatalytic thin film and a substrate is obtained by coating the substrate surface with the above composition, followed by curing.
