<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To electrically conduct between transcribed emitter groups and between gate distribution wires and to constitute a large-scale display by forming gate wires on an insulating film formed on a substrate and by electrically connecting the gate wires to conductive films on the substrate. SOLUTION: A plurality of cathode wires 2 and conductive films (gate wires on a substrate) 3 are formed on a substrate 1 and emitter electrodes 4 are formed on respective cathode wires 2. The conductive films 3 are formed on the substrate 1 in such a state as being separated by a prescribed number of the cathode wires 2. Respective emitter electrodes are separated from each other by insulating layers 5 and the gate wires 32 are formed on the insulating layers 5. The gate wires 32 on the insulating film are electrically connected to the conductive films 3 formed on the substrate 1. This constitution can electrically connects between a first and second emitter groups, and between the gate wires. This device is effective for constituting a large-scale field emission display and has high industrial values.</p> |
