PURPOSE: A packing bag that can be easily unfolded by a diagonal corner part and a method of producing the same are provided. After putting some contents in the bag, the corners of the bag has a smooth finish. CONSTITUTION: The packing bag comprises two outer sheets, two folded inner sheets, and an edge sealing part(14) that is placed at edge parts of the outer and the inner sheets except an inlet part(15) and seals the outer sheet and the inner sheet. A diagonal sealing part(17) is prepared at both corners(16) of one end part of the sealed outer and inner sheet to seal the both corners. A corner end sealing part(18) placed at the end of the both corners seals other two corners opposite the sealed both corners. Polyethylene layers are formed on the inner surface of the each confronting inner sheet and outer sheet. The bag is produced by forming grooves corresponding each other at end parts of the folded inner sheets, placing the inner sheets between the outer sheets to let the folded parts be confronted each other, sealing the edge parts of the sheets except the inlet part and then sealing the both corners of the sheets diagonally.
