摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical receiver capable of dealing flexibly with an increase/decrease in the number of wavelengths of a WDM transmission system, and capable of minimizing the leakage of ASE light to a light receiving element adaptively even in a system where an interval of wavelength is set wide, e.g. a CWDM system. <P>SOLUTION: The optical receiver comprises an optical input port 111 where a WDM signal is input, a transmission wavelength varying means 11 for transmitting an optical signal of a predetermined transmission wavelength bandwidth having a desired central wavelength &lambda;i (i=1-n: n is an integer of &ge;2) out of WDH signals from the optical input port 111, an optical output port 112 for outputting an optical signal of wavelength &lambda;k (k=1-n and k&ne;i) which does not pass through the transmission wavelength varying means, and a means 16 for controlling the central transmission wavelength of the transmission wavelength varying means 11 such that the level of an optical signal passing through the transmission wavelength varying means 11 is maximized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
