PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commodity conveyance device and its control method capable of removing dispersion of the stop position of a rotor, and controlling accurately. SOLUTION: This device has chains 1, 2 rotated endlessly by a motor 13, for conveying commodities, an encoder 14 for emitting a control pulse, an operation instruction part 120 for outputting a stop signal, a pulse number detection part 150 for detecting the pulse number emitted from the encoder 14 from the time when the stop signal is outputted from the operation instruction part 120 until the time when the chains 1, 2 are stopped, a memory 170 for storing the detected pulse number, a pulse number calculation part 160 for calculating the pulse number for controlling a timing for outputting the stop signal from the operation instruction part 120 based on the pulse number stored in the memory 170, and a timing control part 130 for controlling the timing for outputting the stop signal from the operation instruction part 120 based on the calculated pulse number.
