PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simulation device and a software simulation method for a microprocessor capable of accurately simulating the interruption of a peripheral device, and improving the simulation speed. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a peripheral simulation part equipped with a next changing point number of clock obtaining part for calculating and outputting the number of clocks until the next changing point of a peripheral device and a changing point information for holding the information on the changing point of the peripheral device and a control part equipped with a set number of clock storing part for storing the number of clocks outputted from the next changing point number of clock obtaining part. Only when the number of clocks under instruction execution reaches the clock value until the next changing point stored in the set number of clock storing part, or only when an instruction related with the simulation of the peripheral device is executed, the simulation of the peripheral device is executed.
