PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch operation device which can perform smooth pressing operation while preventing water, dust, etc., from entering its case. SOLUTION: A switch 2 is arranged in the case 3, an opening hole 6 is bored in the case 3 opposite to the switch 2, and an operation member 7 which is made of an elastic material is mounted in the opening hole 6. A switch knob 12 for pressing the switch 2 is arranged above the operation member 7 and a panel 15 having a knob insertion hole 14 is arranged around the switch knob 12. This panel 15 is provided with an abutting part 19 which comes into contact with a flange part 13 provided to the switch knob 12 and a space part 21 is formed between the abutting part 19 and flange part 13.
