PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a superior data transmission by removing the effects of the background optical noises in optical space transmission. SOLUTION: In this optical space transmitter for converting data to optical data signals, emitting them to a space, fetching the optical data signals propagated in the space by a photodetector 1-3 and reproducing them, the data are burst signals; and the transmitter is provided with a storage means(MEM) 1-11 for storing and holding background optical noise signals(Snz) fetched by the photodetector when it is not being transmitted/receiving the optical data signals by the burst signals, and removal means 1-10 and 1-7 for reading the stored Snz and removing Snz components superimposed on the optical data signals at the time of receiving the optical data signals. The Snz fetched by the photodetector at the time of not transmitting/receiving the optical data signals is stored in the MEM, and signals related to the stored Snz are used for the removal of the Snz components superimposed on the optical data signals at the time of receiving the optical data signals. |
