Microscope slide that permits a specimen to be subject to both morphological and molecular biological studies. A slide S is disclosed for applying a specimen 2 to be evaluated by an optical evaluation equipment such as a microscope, said slide comprising a transparent sheet 1, having an upper 3 and a lower 4 face, arranged for applying the specimen 2 and a cover slip 5 on the upper face. The slide is characterized in that the lower face 4 is provided with at least one groove 6, defining a closed curve area 7 of the lower face and forming a weakened portion of the sheet 1, enabling a slide sample 8 to be punched out from the sheet when an impact force is directly or indirectly applied to the weakened portion of the slide, on the upper or lower face of the sheet 1. The invention also relates to a slide set, a method for obtaining a core sample from a slide, and a method for the evaluation of a specimen mounted within a slide set. |
