<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a developer from leaking a between a magnetic brush and an image carrier and to sufficiently supply toner to an electrostatic latent image on the image carrier at the time when the developer including the toner and a carrier is led to a developing area facing the image carrier by a developer carrier and an electric field is made act between the developer carrier and the image carrier to develop the electrostatic latent image on the image carrier. SOLUTION: In the developing device where a developer 2 including the toner and the carrier is led to the developing area facing an image carrier 1 by a developer carrier 11 and the electric field is made act between the developer carrier and the image carrier to develop the electrostatic latent image formed on the image carrier, a condition 1.0×107-6.0×102×Zs<=Zc<=1.0×107-6.0×10-2×Zs is satisfied where Zs is the impedance (Ω) from the center to the surface of the developer carrier and Zc is the impedance (Ω) of the developer per cm in the lengthwise direction of the developer carrier in the developing area.</p> |
