<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an electric double-layer capacitor that shortens a time for drying constituent members of the electric double- layer capacitor and has a high holding factor of electrostatic capacity. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing an electric double-layer capacitor, includes the steps of: opposing a positive electrode and a negative electrode, each of which are formed of an electrode body made by integrating a polarized electrode having carbon material as its main component with a current collector, to each other via a separator and laminating or winding them to form a capacitor element; inserting the capacitor element into a metal case and adding an electrolytic liquid in the metal case; and then tightly sealing the metal case with a sealing member. Further, the method includes the first dry process for drying the electrode body of the constituent member and the separator before the capacitor element is manufactured, and the second dry process for drying the capacitor element after the capacitor element is manufactured.</p> |
