PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely apply a bias voltage to a layer thickness control roll to improve the picture stability in an image forming device like a copying machine, a laser beam printer, or facsimile equipment which uses the layer thickness control roll as a toner layer thickness control means on a developing roll. SOLUTION: The image forming device is provided with a toner supply roll 14B which supplies toner to a developing roll 15B, a cylindrical layer thickness control roll 16B which is placed in parallel with the developing roll 15B and controls the toner layer thickness on the developing roll 16B, a scraper 17B which scrapes the toner stuck to the layer thickness control roll 16B, a scraper support member 47B which supports the scraper 17B, and a sheet metal 48B which is brought into face contact with the surface of the layer thickness control roll 16B. A voltage is supplied to the sheet metal to give the bias voltage to the layer thickness control roll 16B, and thus the bias voltage is surely applied to the layer thickness control roll 16B. |
