PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blower in which the generation of noise due to a bell mouth and a propeller fan is reduced. SOLUTION: Air flow passes through a heat exchanger 2 by a propeller fan 3, and is supplied outside a room through a front fan guard 6 via a clearance (tip clearance) of the end (tip part) of the propeller fan 3 and a bell mouth 4 and a clearance between the vanes of the propeller fan 3. The bell mouth 4 for surrounding the propeller fan 3 is formed with a porous sound absorbing material and provided in the main body case of the outdoor machine of an air conditioner. Further, a sound absorbing material is bonded to all or a part of the surface of the existing bell mouth 4 made of resin or a steel plate and the bell mouth is disposed in the main body case of the outdoor machine of the air conditioner. Thus, pressure pulsation resulting in noise and its reflection are absorbed by the sound absorbing material, so that the generation of the noise can be fundamentally suppressed. |
