PURPOSE: A reflection/transmission type LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to remove the complicated additional steps and restrain the battery effect due to the use of the pixel electrodes in the multi-layered structure. CONSTITUTION: A reflection/transmission type LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device includes a substrate(10), at least one thin film transistor(TFT) and lines formed on the substrate, an insulation film(21) stacked on the entire substrate on the TFTs and lines, and having contact holes for exposing partial source electrodes of the TFTs, pixel electrodes(33) formed on the insulation film to be connected to the source electrodes via the contact holes and corresponding to the TFTs, a transparent electrode pattern directly connected to the source electrodes, covering the entire area of the pixel electrodes, and an opaque electrode pattern formed on the transparent electrodes with at least reflection electrode layer at an upper part, covering reflection areas as a part of the pixel electrode area.
