<p>A portable telephone such that the radiation efficiency during conversation is improved, the quality of communication is high, especially the complicated structure including a magnetic plate and its fixing member is not disposed in a narrow space in the case, and thereby the thickness of the portable telephone can be lessened. The portable telephone comprises an antenna for mainly transmitting/receiving a radio wave for communication to/from a base station, a printed board on which a metallic face is formed as a board ground for the antenna and electronic components are mounted, a power feeding part for feeding power to the antenna and the metallic face, a magnetic plate disposed in the case for increasing the intensity of the radio wave in a free space during conversation and made of a magnetic material, and the case accommodating the printed board, the power feeding part, and the magnetic plate. The printed board has a multilayer structure. The magnetic plate is spaced from the board ground and buried in a part or the whole of the space between inner layers on the opposite side to the face where the antenna is disposed.</p> |
