PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a RAKE receiver, which selects only a valid signal for RAKE synthesis by making itself adapt to characteristics of a reception signal and performs RAKE synthesis. SOLUTION: A level measurement part 3 measures the level of a reception signal, which is inverse spread and an adaptive threshold decision part 8 counts appearance frequency at which the level of the inverse spread reception signal exceeds a variable threshold, which having this variable threshold changed. Then, on the basis of change characteristics of the increased appearance frequency, a decision threshold is set for discriminating between a preceding wave, a delay wave and a noise, a timing in which the level of the inverse spread reception signal exceeds this discriminated threshold value is decided, and timing information is outputted. A path selection part 6 selectively outputs the inverse spread reception signal, which is in-phase state and weighed by a multiplier 5 to the RAKE synthesis part in response to the timing information. |
