摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce FRP laminating work at an installation site as much as possible, by providing communication openings to opposite positions of an inclined wall of a plane rectangle lower tank in each of adjacent cells, which are connected to a single loaded part in a square shape multi-cell type cross flow cooling tower, and by permitting the openings to communicate with each other in a watertight manner through a hollow and retractable jointing means. SOLUTION: Communication openings 12 are provided to the opposite positions of the inclined wall 11 of the plane rectangle lower tank 10 in each cell so as to be close to each other. Bolts 17 are inserted to bolt through holes 21 provided around each of the openings 12. Subsequently, a support plate or a presser plate 18 is fitted to the inside of the tank 10 and then the bolts 17 are tightened to tighten a pair of the support plates 18, 19. The periphery of each of the openings 12 and an inward flange 15a of the joint means 13 are connected through a packing member 16 to permit the openings 12 to communicate with each other in a watertight manner.</p>
