PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anneal processing method and a device in which excessive variation of a magnetic property of the magneto-optical recording medium can be prevented. SOLUTION: An anneal processing device in which a boundary parts between a plurality of information tracks arranged on the magneto-optical recording medium B with a prescribed pitch is irradiated with a light beam and the magnetic property is changed, is provided with an optical head 1 for anneal processing irradiating the boundary part with a light beam of which the spot diameter is larger than an arrangement pitch of the information track.
