PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize an optical pickup device and simplify assembly, and to provide a pressing member that can reduce manufacturing cost and that has a plurality of functions. SOLUTION: For elastically fitting one portion of components, such as a light source 3 and an optical component 4 to a housing 2 of the optical pickup device 1, the pressing member 8 that has a plurality of press sections that can be elastically deformed one another and is formed in a single piece is used, and is arranged and assembled so that each press section elastically comes into contact with the components.
