PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a car interior part having a skin almost uniform in thickness, and a mold therefor. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the car interior part by setting a core material to a first mold to close the first mold with respect to a second mold and injecting a premixed molten resin in the gap between the core material and the second mold to cover the surface of the core material, a flange is provided to the outer periphery of the core material and, when the first mold is clamped to the second mold, the flange is held between the first and second molds. The mold for manufacturing the car interior part comprising a laminate of the skin and the core material having the flange provided to its outer periphery is equipped with the first mold having the core material temporarily fixed thereto and the second mold having a seat part for holding the flange between the first and second molds.
