BIPOLAR BATTERY

摘要

Disclosed is a highly reliable bipolar battery using a polymer gel electrolyte or a liquid electrolyte in the electrolyte layer wherein liquid junction (short circuit) due to the electrolyte liquid oozed out of the electrolyte portion can be prevented. Specifically disclosed is a bipolar battery wherein a plurality of bipolar electrodes, in each of which a positive electrode is formed on one side of a collector and a negative electrode is formed on the other side, are arranged in series while interposing an electrolyte layer between each two electrodes. This bipolar battery is characterized by comprising a separator for holding the electrolyte layer and a shaped sealing resin arranged in the periphery of an electrolyte-holding portion of the separator.
