The rotor has rotor couplers (12, 14) at its two ends and blade rows (17) that are arranged on a middle section of the rotor. A balance piston (15) is arranged for compensating axial thrusts. A set of finely distributed hollow spaces is provided in portions (16) of the rotor, where the hollow spaces are constructed from metal structures. The metal structures have a reduced thickness and are welded with one another.
