PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the compact and inexpensive fuel-cell plant by which the steam indispensable to steam reforming is surely secured even if the operating temp. of the fuel cell is low and methanol is used as the raw fuel. SOLUTION: An aq. methanol soln. is used as the raw fuel in this fuel-cell plant, and the mixing ratio of methanol to water is controlled to (1:1.5) to (1:2.0) in the soln. Meanwhile, the waste fuel passed through the hydrogen electrode 16 of the fuel cell main body 15 and the waste air passed through the oxygen electrode 17 of the main body 15 are introduced into a burner 18 forming a combustion gas, and the combustion gas from the burner 18 is introduced into a reformer 13 to steam-reform the aq. methanol soln. |
