Process for attaching indicator elements onto a disposable garment comprising the steps of feeding liquid- absorbent cores and indication sheets having indicator elements onto inner and outer surfaces of an outer layer web, respectively; placing a rear half of the front sheet of each pair of adjacent indication sheets upon a front end zone of the core and placing a front half of the rear sheet of the pair upon a rear end zone of the core; joining the indication sheet to the outer layer web, the core to the inner and outer layer webs, and the webs to each other; cutting the assembly in a cross direction; turning the inner panels crosswise; arranging the inner panels on the inner surface of the outer web at regular intervals and joining an outer surface of the outer layer web to an inner surface of the outer web.
