A tape attaching method and a tape attaching device are provided to prevent a tape roller and a driving roller from being rotated while attaching a dicing tape by extracting the dicing tape using a vibration roller. A tape attaching device includes a tape roller(42), braking units(46,47), a tape extracting unit(62), and tape attaching units(49,31,37). The tape roller extracts a tape. The braking units apply a braking force on a portion of the tape which is extracted from the tape roller. The tape extracting unit extracts a predetermined amount of the tape, on which the braking force is applied, between the braking units and the tape roller. The tape attaching units attach the tape in a downstream of the braking units on an object, while the braking force is released from the tape. |
