METHOD FOR PRINTING TEST PATTERN IN ARRAY TYPE INKJET PRINTER, AND PATTERN DATA COMPOSING DEVICE USED THERETO

A method for printing a test pattern in an array type inkjet printer and a pattern data composing device for the same are provided to store and use only the image data as much as a head area forming an array head without storing pattern data of the entire page. A pattern data composing device(500) stores pattern image data repeatedly appeared when a test pattern is printed to a storage unit(510). The pattern image data is read from the storage unit when a request for printing the test pattern is received. The pattern data composing device forms band data by copying the read pattern image data and prints the test pattern by transferring the band data to a printing unit(520). The pattern image data stored to the storage unit corresponds to the pattern image data corresponding to an area occupied by one head among the heads forming an array head. The read pattern image data is copied as much as each head forming the array head.
