<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct the position of an image formed on one sheet of recording paper and the subsequent sheets of recording paper if the position of the image formed on the one sheet of recording paper is shifted. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 forms an electrostatic latent image on a photoreceptor 11 and develops the electrostatic latent image with invisible toner that absorbs infrared ray. The image developed by the invisible toner is transferred to the intermediate transfer belt 16 and further transferred to paper P1. The position of the invisible image transferred to the paper P1 is detected by a light source 45 that outputs infrared ray, and a sensor 47 that detects infrared ray reflected from the paper P1. According to the detected position, the image forming apparatus 1 corrects the position of the electrostatic latent image formed on the photoreceptor drum 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
