The invention relates to anticoccidial compositions which mainly consist of yolk immunoglobulins that are derived from the eggs of hens that have been hyperimmunised with one or more species of Eimeria. The invention also relates to the use of said anticoccidial compositions for the prevention and treatment of coccidiosis. The administration of immunoglobulins in liquid, powder or pellet form reduces coccidia oocyst counts, lesions and mortality and produces a weight gain in treated animals.
