摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a musical sound generation method and a device capable of changing the contents of a musical sound waveform generating operation based on the contents of processed musical sounds and on the contents of parallel-operated applications, etc. SOLUTION: A CPU executes a software sound source with other application on a multiple task base and performs a musical sound waveform generating processing. Also, LFO, an interpolation system, a digital filter, an effect, a sampling clock frequency and a maximum simultaneous sounding number, etc., which are control elements for deciding various kinds of characteristics of musical sound signals to be generated are arbitrarily changed by moving a cursor 32 to setting display parts 33-38 displayed on the screen and operating a VALUE switch 43.
