A method of detecting dermatophyte, comprising the following steps: (a) a step of extracting a dermatophyte component from a sample selected from group consisting of skin, nail, scale, hair and pelage with a treatment liquid comprising 0.5-5.0 wt % of n-octyl-β-D-glucoside at a temperature of 4° C.-45° C., (b) a step of forming a complex by contacting the dermatophyte component obtained in said step (a) with an antibody produced by hybridoma 0014, and (c) a step of detecting the complex formed in said step (b).
