PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing hydrogen chloride which is suitable for obtaining high-purity hydrogen chloride by removing impurities efficiently.SOLUTION: A method for producing hydrogen chloride includes: a synthesis step of synthesizing hydrogen chloride from chlorine and hydrogen under a hydrogen excessive condition by a burner combustion device 4; an adsorption removal step of removing a part of impurities in a mixed gas containing hydrogen chloride having undergone the synthesis step using an adsorbent in an adsorber 5; and a pressure swing adsorption-type gas separation step of removing at least a part of impurities contained in crude hydrogen chloride gas having undergone the adsorption removal step by a PSA gas separation device 6.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
